From the garden to the plate

Spinach, tomatoes and pumpkins from our own beds, straight into the kitchen for community lunch.

Take a look at the spinach we’ve just picked from our garden — perfect timing for our community lunches.

It’s a fantastic feeling to see the garden really starting to flourish and provide fresh produce we can share. From garden to plate, it doesn’t get much better than that.

There have been tomatoes too, picked straight from the bed, and a good run of pumpkins that sat in a sunny spot before they went into the kitchen.

The beds are there for everyone. You’re welcome to help yourself — no need to ask, and no need to be here for anything else. If you’d like to help look after them, the Busy Bee Gardeners meet on Wednesday mornings.
